VINTAGE – 2018
PRODUCTION: This wine is coming from the small appellation of Colli di Conegliano that have only a handful of wineries. The 4 authorized grape varieties grow in the same vineyard. They are hand harvested in the middle of October and are left to dry in the sun for a few months before fermenting. The wine is then matured in large oak barrels for a few more months.
TASTING NOTE: This complex wine has a fresh nose of delicate flowers and tropical fruit. Melon, mango, and dried pineapple are intertwined with hints of honey. In the mouth the wine displays fresh acidity, an oily texture, and a pleasant finish with a touch of lite zestyness.
FOOD PAIRING: It is the perfect accompaniment for grilled seafood of most kinds like salmon and halibut, as well as shellfish that you put butter on, like crab, lobster, or shrimp. Also pairs well with turkey, sage butter chicken, polenta, vegetables, cream soups, pasta salads, and veal.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: Best when served at a temperature between 42-46 degrees F.
